Just a follow up on the vision of our church:

Penang Christian Centre aims to be an excellent Christian community bringing God's love from house to house. Touching people, changing lives. It's more than just nice words on a mission statement. It is a call to action. A call to bring Christ's love beyond the four walls of our church building to our community. A call to serve people in Christ's name, win the lost, make disciples and reach nations. That's why we can no longer be comfortable where we are now. We have not arrived... yet. There are moments where our vision becomes a little clearer, and that small voice in our hearts call out a little louder. In these times, we can no longer stand as observers but be part of God's harvest force claiming Penang for Christ. By the end of the Decade to Multiply Penang Christian Centre will multiply into 3 centres in Penang with 2000 members, increasing our reach as God's Apostolic Community

Faith Goals for the Decade:
2000 members worshiping, serving and reaching Penang through 3 centres.

Strategies:
Internalise our identity as an apostolic community, making 'Time Alone With God' and 'Book of Life' a part of the Penang Christian Culture.

Multiply:

Theme:
Sent Out to Win (Acts 1:8) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Last weekend, after the Act of Kindness, there was a guest speaker by the name of Rev. Irvin E. Rutherford whom shared about "A Revival". Now Mr. Rutherford is the founder and Executive Director of Global Ministry Teams, a mission organisation laboring to motivate, enlist, train and release the next generation of missionaries with a special emphasis on the unreached people.

Rev. Irvin E. Rutherford
Mr. Rutherford spoke about countless subjects of revival and what the future may bring if we do what God wants us to do. However the first thing he told us about was the "10 Predictions in 2011", which were...

-The Bible will always have the answer to everything.
-Prayer still works.
-The Holy Spirit will still move in us.
-God will still inhabit the praises we give Him.
-God's anointing spirit still exists.
-Praise and Worship still goes on.
-God never stops pouring out His blessings.
-The salvation is no rumor but it is the truth.
-Jesus will forever love you.
-And Jesus will always save the lost.

And all of God's people say... AMEN!.... Pastor Irvin spoke al ot about righteousness and how strong it can be. Like how righteousness yields and speaks to us all in times of darkness that it brings back the dead, because of how righteous our God is, he also able to raise a righteous man during times of crisis.

By doing so God simply raises a seed of righteous generation. And that next generation to be raised is US! Yes, we youth are the next generation that are to rise up, grab the baton, and lead the way of righteousness. Its not that we should be waiting for our calling to come to us but that we are to go towards the calling that God has called upon us all to do.

Hence let us all mature as God's children and use His name for a good purpose for we have inherited 100% of his inheritance!

As the Chinese New Year draws closer each passing second, which this year, will fall on the 3rd and 4th of February, Penang Christian Centre Youth together with its leaders went all out to carry out the Act of Kindness. A few our Collegelinkers tagged along too. Aimed to impact the residents of Rifle Range, the Act of Kindness has seen the work of God taking place among the residents of Rifle Range. A total of approximately 80% of the residents accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. Praise God for that.

A few units of Rifle Range Flats were selected for the Act of Kindness programme. Most of them were residents living in harsh poverty. We gathered at an opened-air car park where we were assigned specific houses to go to. Then we set off in cell groups, walking past congested lanes and passing through narrow alleyways until we reached the last two blocks of flat. The interior of the flats were in a dire state of repair as pipes were leaking, lights were flickering and dried paint peeling off the walls. A perfect setting for a horror movie which will certainly make Ju-on look like a comedy. We walked along dingy corridors and climbed several flights of stairs until we reached our assigned units. As for the cell group I was with, we had to climb 7 floors to reach our unit.

We were given entry into a small cluttered living space by an elderly woman. Her husband was at the dining table eating his lunch while her 3 grandsons were running around trying to avoid us in some way out of shyness. The old lady was a little embarrassed for she did not know how to treat her little guest. However, we assured her that we were alright and invited her to sit with us for a little chat. At the end of our visit we presented her with a free coupon and prayed for the family.

The family we visited.
While all the cell groups were busy having fellowship with families of the assigned units, the media crew diligently carried out their duties by interviewing the youth and leaders of their views and experiences gained from this year's Act of Kindness. The whole programme lasted less than an hour.

It was truly an eye opener for me to see that there are still so many poverty stricken families struggling to survive in the worst of places. The Act of Kindness is a blessing to the people of Rifle Range for it gives them a sense that people still care for them and that love and care is not at all lost in this fallen world.

Father, may the light of salvation shine upon them as you seek them out and bring them closer towards your kingdom. May all evil forces at work in their lives be cast out and broken in the name Jesus. May all spells, curses, false prayers and false astrological prophecies that take hold of their lives be broken in the name of Jesus. Set their souls free, Lord. May their hearts be impacted by Your Word and know that you are the one and only God, the Almighty God. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

We don't know if the universe started off with a 'Big Bang' or not but we do know that as ISCAlites in 2011 we started off with a BIG BANG! =D on the 8th of January 2011 was the very first ISCA service of the year, and what better way to describe what happened on that day but to show you with PICTURES! dot dot dot.

Look at all the people filling the place! =D
And with Eugene to announce the worship team....
'Mothballs and Tao Ew Bak'!
Then it was Praise and Worship time.
Later there was icebreaker to warm us all up.
After that, the main event of the afternoon arrived; The Big Bang Talk Show! =D
Staring........

Yusuf Jin Alim Abdul Al-Salib, Justine Bieber, Chao Ah Beng, Datuk Charles, Rome, Oprah Winfrey, and Paris Hilton
It was quite the entertainment =]
After all the laughter and smiles, Pastor Wilson came up and shared wit us the word of God.

Because in every new year we have resolutions of what we want to achieve this year like new friends, better grades, losing weight etc. But as ISCAlites and youths of God, there is a new resolution in 2011 that we must complete and that is to be sent out and win a person to Christ within a 100 days =] As Pastor Kul Bal said in Firecamp, 'We have to carry the fire and pass it on to others who don't'. So lets all start our journey to win someone for Christ! =D
Or else Rome will take you down! xP
And another highlight for the day was the welcoming of the CIDS graduates! =D

Standing up as fresh ISCAlites
Promoting them into AMBASSADORS
And welcoming them into the family =]
So lets all start of a great new beginning and create a epic year ahead of us
